Third day in Glasgow
Had a busy day. Started off doing yesterday debrief and then headed out to see my bottler for the rest of the day. There are always lots of things to discuss and review that can day day, weeks, or months over a phone and or email, however, can get solved in an afternoon of face to face interaction. We reivewd all the marketing pieces for the wild scotsman brand and their possilbe application of the UK and EU market place. Went over samples for potential blends and malts for future bottlings. They were not quite where I wanted them to be, however, things like this tend to take time.
I hope to introduce a new bottle size in the market place and it was quite over whelming to review all the different bottles. They all looked so good, however, they do not always come in US legal sizes. We did a lot more, however, at the end of the day we have a lot of secrets I do not want the big boys to know. Let’s face it that is why they get paid the big pound notes.
Took the train back into the city which was perfect since my favorite chip shop is just out the door. Got my fill of Black Pudding Supper. Nothing like a bit of blood pudding to make your day. I will be heading out in the morning for Bladnoch. I should get one more posting in before I go.
Cheers,
The Wild Scotsman
