Deposit Information
1. $15,000 payable upon application approval. Wild Scotsman will provide cask sample(s) within 120 days for review if available or submit the potential cask candidate information if samples are not available. Cask samples are not always available in a timely manner due to the varied policies and procedures for each Distillery. If no samples are acceptable or available WS will retain $1000.00 for the costs of obtaining samples, shipping and/or time. $14,000.00 will be refunded.*
2. Upon Cask selection an additional payment of $5,000 is required to secure purchase depending on the type and value of cask.**
3. Final payment to be paid in full before cask is sent for bottling. Failure to pay within 30 days of bottling will result in a restocking/storage fee of 10% per week of the total value of shipment. After 90 days client forfeits all rights, claim, monetary reimbursement to cask, contents and bottles.
* Down payment is non-negotiable retainer.
** Actual second payment may be lower or higher depending on the cask being purchased and the current state of the US dollar to the GBP (Great British Pound).
Wild Scotsman will provide the cask, bottling and importation to the United States. Wild Scotsman is not responsible for any fees, taxes or other monetary payments to State, County or City agencies as these are the responsibility of the buyer. Wild Scotsman is not responsible for any fees, taxes or other monetary payments to the local wholesaler/distributor in clearing your product for your location or state. Wild Scotsman is not responsible for any broken, damaged or lost product. It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange insurance of cargo either through Wild Scotsman or their current insurance provider. Wild Scotsman’s responsibilities end upon successful importation into the United States.
